Officially named Nibblets. Affectionately referred to as "Mama Goat." She has taken on the maternal role and responsibility of watching the entire herd, including the sheep.
An American Lamancha, raised as a diary goat, she was milked until she was considered no longer useful. Then, she was sold to a "live market." She was scared, emaciated, weak and in desperate need of medical attention.
At a live market, animals are selected by customers and processed on-site for their meat. This was Nibblets' fate until Sweet Farm stepped in. Now, safe from slaughter, she is free to graze and lounge in our pastures for the rest of her days.
